Closest beaches
Within a distance of up to 10 km there are enough free and organized beaches to suit all tastes:
• Malsova beach
Located in Agios Dimitrios and consists of gravel. The water is clean and on one side there are small rocks. There is also a parking area.
• Katafigio o Plakes beach (on the way to Trahila)
In Katafigio, some 500 meters from the village of Agios Dimitrios, the landscape is spectacular with horizontal stone slabs and rocks jetting into the sea.
• Chalikoura beach (Stoupa)
A quiet secluded pebble beach at the southern end of Stoupa with crystal clear turquoise waters.
• Stoupa beach (Stoupa)
The beach of Stoupa is located right on the main street. This sandy beach has umbrellas and sunbeds to hire and is full of life as it is opposite all the café shops and restaurants.
• Kalogria beach (Stoupa)
The sandy beach of Kalogria is the most celebrated in the region and has a beach volley court, two beach bars, restaurants, sun beds with umbrellas, paddle boats and shallow waters ideal for children. The house of the celebrated Greek author Nikos Kazantzakis is also located near Kalogria Beach.
• Dolphins beach (Kardamili)
This beach is situated between Stoupa and Kardamili and it is in a beautiful bay with turquoise waters. The beach has fine sand and pebbles and the waters are almost always calm because the bay shelters them.
• Kalamitsi beach (Kardamili)
A thin strip of sand with wonderful turquoise waters, ideal for children as the water is shallow for quite some distance from the shore.
• Fonea beach (Kardamili)
This beach is formed at the end of a canyon, with large pebbles and turquoise waters, it is sheltered from the main road and offers natural shade because of the large rocks that surround it.
• Ritsa beach (Kardamili)
Beach ritsa is the beach of Kardamili with pebbles and clear deep waters.
